Relational Psychotherapy Group

Relational Psychotherapy Group

This group offers adults a safe, supportive environment to foster emotional capacity and relational growth. Rather than focusing on teaching skills, the group facilitates new experiences—helping participants explore trust, authenticity, and self-worth through meaningful connection with others.

Group Structure

This is a 20-week, closed psychotherapy group. We meet weekly, online, in a small group of approximately 6–8 participants. Before joining, each participant completes an assessment and preparation sessions to ensure a good fit and group readiness.

Who May Benefit

This group is ideal for individuals who are functioning well in daily life, are reflective, and are open to relational and emotional growth. Whether you’ve experienced relational wounds, difficult patterns, or simply want to deepen your connections, this group helps you expand your capacity for trust, vulnerability, and authenticity.

What Participants Can Expect

This is a relational and experiential psychotherapy group rather than a psychoeducational or skills-based program. While reflection and insight are important aspects of the work, the group emphasizes emotional and relational growth through authentic engagement with others.

Over time, emotional responses, interpersonal patterns, protective strategies, and ways of relating may emerge naturally within the group environment. Participants are encouraged to engage authentically, reflect on their experiences, receive and offer thoughtful feedback, and gradually experiment with new ways of relating.

The group may involve moments of emotional discomfort, vulnerability, uncertainty, or interpersonal challenge. These experiences are approached thoughtfully and respectfully as opportunities for growth, increased capacity, and relational development.

The goal is not perfection or constant emotional comfort. The goal is increased emotional flexibility, authenticity, trust, self-compassion, relational capacity, and greater freedom in how one experiences oneself and others.

Assessment & Enrollment Process

The process begins with an inquiry form. Based on your responses, if it seems like a potential fit, we’ll invite you to 1–3 individual assessment sessions, each $175. If at any point we determine the group isn’t the best fit, we’ll discuss alternative recommendations. If accepted, you’ll complete preparation sessions before the group starts. Once the group begins, attendance is essential, and the full fee is expected. If you’ve prepaid and withdraw early, future sessions may be refunded at the standard rate, minus a $50 administrative fee.

For Referring Clinicians

This group is intended for adults who are generally functioning well in daily life and possess sufficient emotional stability and reflective capacity to participate safely in a relational psychotherapy environment.

Participants may benefit from concurrent individual therapy, though this is not required. Individuals without an existing therapist may discuss available options during the assessment process.

The group is not intended as a crisis stabilization program or a substitute for higher levels of care. Careful screening, assessment, and preparation are completed prior to admission in order to support appropriateness of fit, emotional safety, and group cohesion.

Interested in Exploring the Group?

If you are interested in participating in the Relational Psychotherapy Group, the next step is to complete the inquiry and enrollment form below.

This form helps determine whether the group may be an appropriate fit for your current needs, goals, and readiness for this type of psychotherapy work. All applicants will receive a response regarding next steps. Individuals who appear to be a potential fit for the group will be invited to participate in the assessment and preparation process.

Because this is a closed psychotherapy group with limited spaces, early applications are encouraged.

If the group does not appear to be the best fit at this time, recommendations for alternative supports or next steps may also be provided.
